Each month, we’re proud to shine a light on one of our Chamber members—celebrating their unique story, contributions, and the passion they bring to our local community. This month, we’re excited to introduce you to Big Behm's Sports Bar, a local sports bar dedicated to serving crowd-pleasing classics with all-day specials and no bad seats.
What motivated you to start your business?
I was motivated to start my sports bar because I wanted to build something that brought people together, just like sports do. It’s not just about the food and drinks, it’s about creating a place where family, friends, and the community can connect. My family is a big part of this journey, and the drive to create success for us while building a fun, welcoming spot for others keeps me going.
Why did you choose to join the Peoria Heights Chamber of Commerce?
I chose Peoria Heights because it has such a strong sense of community. It’s a place where people look out for each other, and I wanted to put down roots in a town that feels like home.
What is your favorite quote or motto you live by?
“You miss 100% of the shots you don’t take.” It’s a simple reminder to take chances, opening Big Behm’s was one of mine.
Any final note or special promotion you would like to share?
Sports have always been close to home for me. I was part of the Richwood’s basketball team that won state in 2009 as a freshman on the varsity squad. My basketball team and I were inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2015. Big Behm’s Sports Bar is where that love for sports comes alive, and we’d love for you to come experience it with us—great food, drinks, and a community that celebrates every win.
